We return on the scheduled fitting day, remove the blown unit, clean the rebate, install the new sealed glass and re-seal the frame perimeter. Fitting a standard window takes under an hour. You get a 2-year written warranty on the unit.

After the last sandstorm, I noticed fine sand on the windowsill even though no one had opened the kitchen windows. The technician explained that the rubber seals had hardened from the heat and lost their elasticity. Replaced them with new ones, and now even after sandstorms, the sills stay clean. The seal around the sealed unit has failed and let moisture into the cavity between the panes. It cannot be cleaned out because it is inside the glass. The fix is a new made-to-measure sealed unit; the frame stays.

Signs of failure
Signs your sealed unit has blown
That haze you cannot wipe off is moisture that has worked its way inside the sealed glass. Once the perimeter seal goes, the window stops insulating and starts fogging every time the temperature swings. In Dubai's heat that happens fast.
Fog between the panes
Fog, mist or condensation between the two panes that no cleaning removes.
Haze or droplets inside the glass
A visible haze, streaks or water droplets inside the glass in the morning.
Chalky marks or rainbow film
White chalky marks or a rainbow film building up on the inner surface.
Window feels hotter
The window feels hotter than it used to, or your AC works harder near it.
Condensation on the room side
If the condensation is on the room-facing surface instead, the glass is fine and the problem is usually sealing or ventilation, which is a cheaper fix. We check which on the visit.

Replace the sealed unit
We measure the exact glass size, cavity width and spacer, order a matching made-to-measure double-glazed unit, and fit it into your existing aluminium, uPVC or wooden frame. Upgrade while it is open
Since the unit is being remade anyway, this is the moment to move to a better spec at little extra cost: an acoustic unit that also cuts noise, or a solar-control unit that reduces heat gain from the sun.
Fix the cause
A unit usually blows because water sat in a failing frame seal or a blocked drainage channel. We reseal the perimeter so the new unit lasts, rather than letting it fog again in a year.
Why replacing the unit beats a new window
A new window means a new frame, new hardware, and often building-management approval in an apartment tower. Replacing just the sealed glass unit keeps all of that and solves the actual fault. Unless the frame is rotten or corroded through, the unit swap is the right call, and we will tell you plainly if it is not.
